Vintage Books and Mason Jars

I did a little personal shooting this weekend. I love the beauty in all vintage things. I have some vintage books sitting around the house and I love to look at them. There is such character in the worn covers and bent and well read pages. I also have a couple of my grandmother's vintage mason jars. I adore these and I am so thankful to have been given a couple. I always think of her when I look at them and wonder what delicious goodies she had in them.

Sunday Afternoon Adventure

I got to go out a spend a little time with this beautiful lady, name Dolly, this past Sunday afternoon.  Thanks to my sweet friend Kristi for letting me go out with her to visit Dolly. Our trip was cut a bit short, as Dolly was not up for a ride. :) I've always loved horses. They are such majestic and beautiful creatures. <3
Here are a few shots I was able to get of her!
Pretty girl!

Wow, 2012 and more.

WOW, I sure fell off the boat at the end of 2011. I really wanted to keep up with my blog, but between keeping up with a growing baby girl, the holidays, a new job (whoohoo) and everything else, I lost track!! 2012... (Wow, can't believe it is already 2012) I am going to do better! The first few post, I will get yal caught up-to-date with what happened at the end of the year/holidays, and then we will get on with some new posts. I haven't decided if I am going to try to keep a weekly theme, or just be random. I guess we will see where my mind goes as I try to get my blog organized. Oh, I do have lots of pictures to share, putting that ol' Nikon to good use. Plus, little girl's 1st birthday is in two months (*gasp*) can't believe it. I'm sure I will have some planning inspiration posts! Ok, I am going to bed now, as 5:30 comes early! G'night all!!

Looking for the weekend

I love my weekends! I always get a million ideas I want to cram into each weekend, and never complete half of them. There just isn't enough time.

My ideas for this weekend: (in no particular order)

• sleep in really late
• take pictures of baby
• edit pictures from a friend's wedding shower
• refinish a couple pieces of furniture for Mace's room
• spend time with my husband and daughter
• plant a garden
• go to the park
• unpack boxes

That is what runs through my mind when I think of the weekend! :)

Hopefully I will accomplish a few things off that list, and save the rest for another weekend.

A couple posts I'm working on for next week:
* my table project
* sewing project: faux chenille blanket
